The Strand Theatre is a Clinton Landmark and one of Central Massachusetts' best kept secrets. The Strand Theatre is one of the oldest existing movie theatres in the area, complete with it's signature marquee, we offer the quaintness, quality, and hometown friendliness of the theatres of yesteryear.
The Strand Theatre offers a unique twist in movie entertainment. Known in the trade as a Cinema Pub, Drafthouse or Grille, The Strand Theatre offers movie patrons the ability to enjoy a casual light meal and drink while watching a current motion picture on the big screen, with state-of-the-art sound and service in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We feature the finest in recent motion picture entertainment on one of the largest screens in Worcester County.
Couples and families come to The Strand Theatre to enjoy a relaxing evening at the movies and a lunch and/or light dinner. Our customers say it's like watching a movie in our own living room. Best of all, our ticket prices and menu are extremely affordable. In general, a couple will spend on average $25 for admission and dinner combined.
The theater exhibits recent-release motion picture films that are rotated on a weekly basis so our patrons can visit the theater each week. Guests are seated in a comfortable atmosphere with tables, a lot of leg room, staggered seating (so everyone can see the screen) and offered beer, wine, and a casual light menu along with the option of being served by courteous unobtrusive waitresses.
In today's business economy, busy and long work hours and the high costs of eating and movies, this one-stop concept translates into numerous benefits for the consumer.
Our menu features a wide selection of beer, wine, fresh pizza, burgers, finger foods: chicken tenders, french fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, grilled chicken sandwiches, dinner specials, fresh popcorn, vegetarian selections, and more.
We also cater to large groups and functions such as birthday parties, business meetings, etc. We have gift certificates available, and also rent out our marquee for that message to someone special.
The Strand Theatre was built in 1924 and operated as a vaudeville theater and movie house until the late 1970's. The Strand was then completely renovated and re-opened in March of 1995. We have 304 seats and a large handicapped section. Smoking is not allowed. Experience when movie theatres were truly a theatre experience.
